First was introduced to the chinese supermarket about ten years ago when a friend took me to buy a wok so that he could teach me how to cook a good stir fry. The staff are very friendly and helpful and can always point you in the right direction.
“They have the biggest selection of soy sauces I’ve ever seen, sesame oils, cooking wine, sauces & marinades, crackers, herbs & spices, flavourings, teas, frozen goods, tinned goods and also a selection of cooking utensils and woks.”
“The supermarket itself is far superior to Kin Yip Hon in Broadmead. First of all it’s massive for an oriental supermarket and it has a great selection of stuff. It has utensils, dried food, refrigerated food, frozen food, fresh food, drinks and snacks.”
“Sunday is the best day to turn up, as they have lots of freshly made stuff on sale. I can’t help but start salivating at all the freshly baked cakes and roast duck! From the moment you enter, the infectious bustle overwhelms you… “
