Why I Respect, April 2010

Bread Youth Project‘Why I Respect’ is a short film created by students of Fairfield School in association with the Bread Youth Project. Their UNITY projects benefit the local community by promoting cultural understanding and celebrating diversity across the city.

“UNITY is all about celebrating what’s at the heart of Bristol’s communities”

Students directed, filmed and produced the film, entitled ‘Why I Respect DiversEC1ty’, by visiting various culturally diverse areas in Bristol, such as st. Mark’s Road and Wai Yee Hong, as well as learning how the Bristol & Avon Chinese Women’s Group benefits the local community. During their visit to our store, they explored the many different types of items we sell, as well as admiring the beautiful Lion Dance costume that we had laid out in our Chinese New Year display.

We are really glad that the students enjoyed their visit to our store, and would like to congratulate them on producing an entertaining and informative film!
