Description:Mama Sita's Achuete Powder (Cornstarch Mix)
Extracted from the powdery coating of annatto (achuete/achiote) seeds, annatto powder imports a mildly sweet, nutty flavour and an appetizing colour ranging from your yellow-orange to red-orange (depending on quantity used) to a variety of dishes.

Cooking Directions: Simply dissolve 1 tsp (2.4g) Mama Sita's Achuete Powder - Cornstarch Mix in 1 tbsp (15ml) water before adding to the dish being cooked. To make Achuete/Achiote Oil: Dissolve 1 tbsp (7g) Mama Sita's Achuete Powder - Cornstarch Mix to 1 tbsp (15ml) cooking oil. To lighten the colour add more oil as necessary. This packet is equivalent to 1 cup (155G) Annatto Seeds or 1 bottle (8 fl oz/240ml) Liquid Achuete.
