Description:Heera Birds Eye Chilli (Whole Red Chilli)

Suitable for Vegetarians.

Recipe for oriental spicy aubergine.
Ingredients: 3 peeled aubergines, cut into 1 inch slices, 2 inch piece of peeled and sliced ginger, 75ml groundnut oil, 3 peeled and sliced garlic cloves, 50g brown sugar, 125ml rice wine, 25ml rice vinegar, 50ml soy sauce, 125ml water, 1 chopped birds eye chilli, crushed pepper to taste, 1 chopped red chilli, 1 sliced spring onion.

For the dipping sauce: Chopped birds eye chilli, 100ml rice wine vinegar, 50ml light soy sauce.

Method: Heat the groundnut oil in a wok over a high heat. Stir-fry the ginger, garlic and aubergine slices for 4 mins. Add sugar and cook for 30 secs. Stir in rice wine, water, vinegar, soy sauce and birds eye chilli and cook until aubergines are tender. For the dipping sauce, mix all ingredients in a small bowl. To serve spoon the aubergines equally into 6 bowls. Sprinkle over the crushed pepper, chopped red chilli and spring onions with dipping sauce alongside.

Once opened we recommend transfer of product to an airtight container.
Store in a cool dry place away from strong flavours.
