Suggested Recipe: Stir Fry Rice Vermicelli
Ingredients
- 200g Rice Vermicelli
- 50g Pork Fillet, cut into strips
- 100g peeled prawns
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons soya sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 green pepper thinly sliced
- 150g bean sprouts
- ginger cut into strips
- onion thinly sliced

Method
1. Soak rice vermicelli in hot water for 4-5 minutes and drain.
2. Heat the oil in a wok or large non-stick frying pan and fry the garlic and ginger for a minute until light brown.
3. Add the pork and prawns and stir-fry over a high heat for 3-4 minutes until just cooked through.
4. Then add the onion and green pepper and cook for a further 2 minutes until almost tender.
5. Add the bean sprouts, rice vermicelli and about 2 tablespoons water. Cook for 2-3 minutes then add soya sauce and toss everything together.

Preparation:
1. Soak rice vermicelli in hot water for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
2. Rinse with cold water.
3. Rice vermicelli can be used in soups, stir-fries or cold-dressed.
