New Products Online – 17-May-16

Phew! Over 100 new products added in the last few weeks. We can barely keep up with all the new lines appearing in-store. As usual, we take a look at our top picks for the most interesting-looking new-buys we have, but with so many new products added to our range, we’ve got a few more lines to consider:

We’re now stocking some new interesting cooking sauces from popular Thai brand, Healthy Boy. These include Hot Basil Sauce, flavoured with fantastically fragrant holy basil, and Garlic Pepper Sauce, great for when you want to give your stir-fry a punchy flavour with maximum convenience.

We welcome new brand, Liang Feng Yuan, into our store! With delicious snacks such as Egg Rolls, Purple Sweet Potato Egg Rolls, Coconut Cakes and Phoenix Rolls, these make great snacks for everyday eating, or for gifting.

We’re fans of dried fruits, and this dried peach packs a great peach flavour, and is less messy to eat than the fresh fruit, when on the move. We recommend getting more than one pack because once you’ve eaten your way through the first pack, you’ll be craving more.

New Cookbooks – Malaysia and The Dumpling Sisters

We’re excited to add two titles to our growing collection of cookbooks (currently for sale online only). These are from Masterchef winner, Wan Ping Coombes, and from ‘Chiwi’ Youtube sensations, The Dumpling Sisters. Our range of Tao Kae Noi snacks keeps growing. One of our most popular seaweed snack brands introduces Tempura Seaweed With Sesame Grain. We think this is going to a big hit, so we’re already stock-piling this one for ourselves. If sesame tempura seaweed is not your thing, we’ve also just added Laab flavour Crispy Seaweed, and Seagle Seaweed Chips, both also from Tao Kae Noi!

The world of imitation meats just keeps growing. We’re fascinated by this Mong Lee Shang Vegetarian Roasted Squid, which looks pretty similar to non-vegetarian roasted squid floss. Made with textured soy protein, this snack is suitable for vegans, vegetarians, and those wishing to reduce the amount of meat they consume.

Calbee Grill-A-Corn (Mala Spicy)

Calbee is one of our favourite snack brands, and they have recently brought out a limited edition Mala (numbing spicy) Grill-A-Corn snack. Mala flavour features a delicious numbing sensation from Sichuan peppercorn which, when combined with hot chilli, makes for an addictive sensation for your palate. We don’t think this will stick around for long, especially as it is limited edition, so be quick!

  • Corniche Mangosteen Pudding With Nata De Coco – One of our favourite tropical fruits, in jelly form. This pudding comes in a large mould, ready for turning out onto a plate and sharing with all the family.
  • Mochi Rice Cakes (Tiramisu Flavour) – Ever wished your favourite chewy mochi rice cake snack could come in flavours like tiramisu? We have EDO Pack chocolate coated tiramisu flavoured mochi rice cakes in store (also available in sesame flavour too).
  • Koala’s March Biscuits Mango & Green Tea flavours – Everyone’s favourite sweet cream filled biscuits now come in mango flavour and green tea flavour.
  • Pocky Biscuit Sticks (Cookies & Cream Flavour) – Someone took our favourite ice cream flavour and married it with our favourite biscuit stick snack. Is this pure genius or what?
  • Pokka Cookies & Cream Milk Drink – continuing on the theme of cookies and cream, this ready to drink milk-based cookies and cream drink should be right up your street if you like sweet things.
