China Earthquake Appeal

British Red CrossOn 12 May 2008 an earthquake of magnitude 7.9 struck in the Sichuan Province of China. At the time of writing, the death toll is expected to top 50,000 with many more injured, displaced and still trapped in collapsed buildings.

Wai Yee Hong send heart felt condolences to all those affected by the recent Earthquake.

As quoted from the British Red Cross website:
“Tens of thousands of people have been killed or injured by the devastating earthquake that struck south west China on 12 May. Many more have lost their homes and the death toll continues to rise. The epicentre of the 7.9 magnitude quake was Wenchuan County in Sichuan Province, with another seven provinces affected. Tremors were felt as far away as the capital Beijing.”
