Mooncakes In Stock Now!

Traditional Chinese Mooncake

We’re pleased to announce that Mooncakes are back in stock for this year! Mooncakes are a traditional festival food which are eaten as part of the Mid Autumn Festival, sometimes called Mooncake Day or the Moon Festival.

Wai Yee Hong would like to congratulate Rosa Hui on being recently awarded an MBE for her fantastic work for the Overseas Chinese Association and Bristol and Avon Chinese Women’s Group (BACWG).

Bags For Charity – Month 5


Thanks for all your donations towards our ‘Bags For Charity’ scheme, where all proceeds from our 5p carrier bags go to the Under Privileged Children’s Charity (UPCC). The equivalent of tens of thousands of bags have been re-used and we’ve noticed that many of you have been remembering to bring your reuable bags!

We’ve come to the end of month 4 of our ‘Bags For Charity’ scheme, where all proceeds from our 5p carrier bags go to the UPCC. Since December 2009, our customers have used the equivalent of 27,000 carrier bags in re-useable alternatives! Read this news story to find out how much you have helped us raise for charity!
