Description:Bring 1 gallon water to boil in large saucepan. Remove and discard ties from number of Somen bundles desired. Add Somen, a little at a time, to boiling water. Cook uncovered 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain. Rinse with cold running water.

Noodles with Pork and Vegetables

8 ounces (about 2 1/2 bundles) Tomoshiraga Somen Oriental Style Noodles
3 teaspoons vegetable oil, divided
1/2 pound boneless, lean pork, cut into thin strips
1 clove garlic, minced
2 green onions and tops, thinly sliced on diagonal
1 medium carrot, coarsely shredded
1/2 pound mung bean sprouts
1 cup (packed) shredded green cabbage
2 tablespoons Kikkoman Soy Sauce
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Cook noodles as package directs. Drain; rinse with cold water and drain well. Heat large frying pan, preferably nonstick, over high heat. Add 2 teaspoons oil; coat pan. Add pork and garlic; stir-fry 3 minutes, or until pork is browned and cooked through. Remove from pan. Heat remaining 1 teaspoon oil in same pan. Ass green onions, carrot, sprouts and cabbage; stir-fry 1 minute. Add noodles, pork, soy sauce and pepper. Cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes, or until all is heated through. Remove from heat and serve. Makes 5 servings, about 1 1/2 cups each.
