Bristol Post 25-Jan-17
We’re pleased that our New Year celebrations were listed in the Bristol Post as one of the ways to celebrate Chinese New Year in Bristol this year. We work hard with the Chinese community to put on a great show and fun day for everyone, and we thank our friends and staff, who volunteer to help us each year. Remember, our celebrations are free to attend, so come and join the fun!
“Colour, noise and dragons: Where to celebrate Chinese New Year in Bristol
You can expect lots of colour, noise and dragons, as well as plenty of delicious food. Here is where you can celebrate in Bristol…
Wai Yee Hong Chinese Supermarket
The family-run Chinese supermarket in Eastgate Road will be holding its annual celebrations to mark the turn of the Chinese New Year.
The event is completely free and will be filled with colour and dancing. You can expect live firecrackers, traditional lion dancers, Kung Fu displays and traditional and contemporary dancers, while the supermarket will be serving up delicious bubble teas, Chinese bakery items, and a range of other oriental foods from dozens of stalls.”
