Look mum! We’re on TV!
On 31st March 2009, Wai Yee Hong Chinese Supermarket and Water Sky Bristol were featured on the BBC news, Points West. In a segment about how the changing financial climate is affecting businesses from around the world, and those closer to home, BBC business consultant Dave Harvey walked through our Bristol store and browsed some of the thousands of products on our shelves.
The Points West team recorded sections from our store for a news segment about how the global credit crunch is affecting business around the world and closer to home. With the falling value of the pound and the resulting slow-down of manufacturing in China, the news story covered how this affected the price and demand for imported goods.
