Japanese Style Teriyaki Chicken

A healthy way of preparing chicken, in a delicious Japanese teriyaki sauce when you’re short of time!

Ingredients:

  1. Use ready cooked strips of chicken or breasts that have been grilled for approx 10 mins and cut into strips.
  2. Mix together the sauces and red wine vinegar, and sugar, set to one side.
  3. Soften the garlic in oil for a minute or two and add the sauces etc, fry for another 2 mins.
  4. Now add the chicken pieces, spring onions and red pepper. Cook, stirring constantly for 4-5 mins until the sauce has thickened.

Can be served just with a crisp salad or cooked noodles.

Notes: A more traditional way is to use a Teriyaki marinade to cover uncooked chicken strips and leave to marinade overnight or at least 30 mins. Stir fry for 6-8 mins after frying your garlic. If you are really short on time, you can find teriyaki marinade in our online store.
