UPCC Green Update July 2011

Thanks to our customers, for continuing to support our bag-reusage drive by donating 5p for a plastic bag. All proceeds go directly to the Under Privileged Children’s Charity (UPCC). Allan Tan and Raymond Chow had the honour of meeting Terry Waite at a charity garden party held to raise money for the Under Privileged Children’s Charity (UPCC). They handed over a cheque for £1,000, which came from the proceeds of our in-store collection and sales of our plastic carrier bags.

Thanks for all your donations towards our ‘Bags For Charity’ scheme, where all proceeds from our 5p carrier bags go to the Under Privileged Children’s Charity (UPCC). The equivalent of tens of thousands of bags have been re-used and we’ve noticed that many of you have been remembering to bring your reuable bags!

We’ve come to the end of month 4 of our ‘Bags For Charity’ scheme, where all proceeds from our 5p carrier bags go to the UPCC. Since December 2009, our customers have used the equivalent of 27,000 carrier bags in re-useable alternatives! Read this news story to find out how much you have helped us raise for charity!
