Description:Bamboo Tree Deep-Fried Rice Paper (Banh Trang My Tho) (22cm)

Usage: Used for making Vietnamese style fried spring rolls.

How to roll
Prepare Ingredients: Pork and shrimp for cha gio can be made by using 1 pound of minced pork and 1/2 pound shrimp. 1/2 pound of thin cellophane noodles, chopped into 1/2" pieces and soaked in water until soft, 1/4 sprouts of bean sprout. All ingredients can be added to the mixture. Chop shrimp into small pieces to the large bowl, add shrimp, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, black pepper and mix. Add crab meat and white egg to mixture and combine evenly.
Serving Directions:
1. Take one sheet or rice paper at a time. Dip it into warm water for 5 seconds.
2. Place it on a plate. Add preparing ingredients on rice paper, fold the two sides on the diagonal over the filling. Fold part of rice paper over the filling and roll it up firmly and seal the two ends. See the slideshow for pictures of the rolling process.
3. Deep fry the spring rolls in edible oil at 350F for 3-54 minutes or until golden brown. Remove spring rolls and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Eat spring rolls wrapped in lettuce with dipping sauce.

Storage: Keep in dry and cool place, and in an airtight container after opening.
