American Long Grain Rice

Tolly Boy was established in 1962 and has since become a traditional family favourite. Tolly Boy selects only the finest American Long Grain paddy for milling, which is de-husked after harvesting and then cleaned and milled to deliver consistent high quality.

Tolly Boy Long Grain Rice guaranteed perfect cooked results, a fluffy texture and satisfied families at every meal occasion.

Cooking Instructions:
(250g Serves 4)
Put rice into seive and rinse thoroughly in plenty of cold water. Allow to drain and then cook in one of the following ways:

Saucepan:
- Put 250g (8oz) rice into a saucepan with 600ml (1 pint) of cold water and salt if required.
- Bring to the boil, cover with a lid and reduce heat to simmer for 12 minutes or until all of the water has been absorbed; stand for 2 minutes before serving. Drain and rinse with boiling water, drain again and serve.

Microwave: Method Timings are for an 800 watt/Cat E oven, for other ovens refer to manufacturer's handbook.
- Put 250g (8oz) rice in a deep non-metallic bowl with 650ml of boiling water and salt if required.
- Cover with microwave film, cut a few vents in the film.
- Cook on full power for 12 minutes; stand for 2 minutes before serving. Drain and rinse with boiling water, drain again and serve.
