Despite its name, the colour of the rice is closer to a deep, dark purple. Like its white counterpart, Thai Black Glutinous Rice has sticky individual grains and can be used in sweet and savoury Asian dishes. Thai Black Glutinous Rice contains anthocyanin antioxidants which also help to protect the body from heart disease and certain type of cancer.
