Fried Spring Roll Seasoning Mix

A savoury filling, rolled in a crisp wrapper and dunked in a sweet and sour sauce. What Asian buffet would be complete without it? Known to us as Lumpiang Shanghai and to rest of the world simply as Lumpia or "fried spring rolls." Making it so easy with this mix.

Lumpiang Shanghai Recipe (Makes 90 pieces):
1 pouch (40g) Mama Sita's Fried Spring Roll Seasoning (Lumpiang Shanghai) Mix
1.1 lb (1/2 kg) ground meat
1 1/4 cups (120g) finely chopped carrots
1 cup (120g) finely chopped onions
2 tbsp (10g) finely chopped spring onions
1 beaten egg
45 pcs spring roll wrapper (8" in diameter)
2 tbsp (20g) all purpose flour
2 cups (500 ml) cooking oil
Cooking Instructions:
1. In a bowl, combine Mama Sita's Lumpiang Shanghai Mix, ground meat, carrots, onions, spring onions, and beaten egg
2. Mix well. Scoop 1 tbsp of the mixture onto the spring roll wrapper and roll tightly. Seal the edges with water or egg white. Repeat process until you have 45 spring rolls
3. Cut rolls in half and dip both ends in some flour
4. Deep-fry in hot oil until golden brown and drain on paper towel. Serve with Mama Sita's Sweet Chilli Sauce or Mama Sita's Sweet And Sour Sauce

Substitutes: Can use ground chicken, boiled and flaked fish

Store in a cool dry place.
